no one stops telling stories. it's in the blood. storytellers who don't tell stories aren't anything. they're nothing at all.

man. they've blocked neilgaiman.com at work. bummer.

oh well. still an awesome day!

i still love greta. =D

***

today's going to be a good day, i think. i woke up fuzzyheaded but there's just something about today that's just so frickingly awesome, and i am perky as hey and just so in love with life. ;) i'm also running away in a few for my java fix, so watch me soar even higher.

no wonder people think i'm on jrags. hahahahaha. as my friend kew says, i'm just too damned perky and bouncy to be sober.

*whispers* i love you, greta!

***

here's the thing.

sometimes i know what i want. more often than not, i don't. and i change my mind every five seconds. it's me, y'know? maybe somewhere along the way, i'll settle down. but don't try to fit me in some sort of strange twisted mold that i'm just not cut out for. because i'm going to be a miserable chuck, and i will resent you for it.

i will jump off the fricking cliff when i'm ready, and not before. i know you've taken the plunge, and from what you say, it's great. that's not what i hear, but what the hey, i'll go with what you told me. but really. you were ready. i'm not.

maybe i will never truly be ready to jump off. but that's fine with me, too. don't make me feel bad for not jumping. the view from up here's pretty awesome.

i like my life. and if you were really the friend i took you to be, you'd respect that.

sometimes, you rediscover old words used in the distant past, and you find that they will still have the same effect.

***

you can't always tell where you are. you can be somewhere you think you've been a thousand times before, and still be truly lost. they're a lot like people, places are. they change...but they're not really likely to warn you first. or tell you how they've changed. or why.

i've really had enough of this. it doesn't seem to matter what i do...or what i undo either. everytime i try to leave that stupid island, i do something wrong...and i wind up shipwrecked here.

so i go back.

i've got to, don't i? to start over. to build my raft again.

but it gives me such a weird sad feeling, undoing does...

everytime.

like i've just thrown part of my life away.

like a little piece of me has turned to stone.
